Burning Barrel BBQ Sauce Label

Image
This week saw the exploration and development of the BBQ Sauce Labels that Burning Barrel will be selling. I wanted to create a design that sits well with the visual brand of Burning Barrel, while also allowing of the easy readability of the copy. Below is the final design that I created for two flavors. Some Further Label Exploration These two designs are going to be printed, accompanied by a neck seal and lid label. Some revisions are in the works, but this design customer tested and gained great feedback. The next step will be to finalize the design for the BBQ Sauces and begin the printing of the labels. Additionally, I am going to begin the exploration of the bourbon packaging.

Graphic Elements/Print Materials: Part 2

This week saw the further exploration of the Burning Barrel brand, playing with how the logo will be used across a series of materials. The four big materials that I worked with were finalizing a set of coasters, repetitive pattern creation that will be used for basket sheets and food wraps, a concept design for a food truck, and an explorative exterior building design. I sought to make them work with each other, as well as with the other materials that I worked on last week. At the same time, I wanted them to have their own visual look and are able to stand alone to represent the brand. Below are all of these materials. These are the coasters that I finalized for Burning barrel. There are 5 designs, each having a dark logo side and a light side that offers a fun, typographic quote. I developed this concept  as an exploration of how the logo and style can be used in the exterior building design. I wanted something modern that allowed for the tag-like logo element that is of...

Graphic Elements/Print Materials: Part 1

After the creation of the logo, I developed a look and feel that aligned with the style that Burning Barrel was after. I decided to develop this style by creating some of the print materials that would be used by Burning Barrel. Below are the materials/designs that I created. Coaster Typographic Quote Iterations Those are the chosen styled designs that I created. The Burning Barrel style mixes together strong typography, oops of color, overlaying/overlapping, and the label/badge element. The next step in the design process will be to continue to develop the materials and the style that Burning Barrel will use. This will include menu design, coasters, signage, and sooner or later will create advertisements (if time permits). Additionally, this next week, I will begin to research bottle shapes in order to find the right bottle for the BBQ sauce and Bourbon packaging.

Final Chosen Logo

The end of the logo process is finally here. Below is the final, selected logo. The final identity includes a primary and secondary logo, as well as the logo mark. This process say a handful of iterations, multiple options, and a tough debate between three final logos. The next phase of the design process will be the creation of visual identity pieces. This will include some print material examples, pattern design, and a mural that would appear in the restaurant. All of these materials need to work as a set while still standing by themselves.
